Is it us, or do the Predator casts wind up more and more random with each movie? The latest installment features Sterling K. Brown (Black Panther, This Is Us), Yvonne Strahovski (The Handmaid’s Tale), Olivia Munn (X-Men: Apocalypse), and Jacob Tremblay (Room), among others. Then again, who wouldn’t want the chance to work with Shane Black? The director’s “explosive reinvention” has the Predators genetically engineered to wreak havoc on Earth, and the only person standing in their way is… a disgruntled science teacher. Hell yes.
Also known as Predator 4, the film is expected to take place between 1990’s Predator 2 and 2010’s Predators. Check out the first teaser:
The official synopsis, from 20th Century Fox:
From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home in Shane Black’s explosive reinvention of the Predator series. Now, the universe’s most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race.
The Predator invades theaters September 14.
